Meet Shahla & Billy:
The Heart Behind Compassionate Organizers
Shahla, the founder of Compassionate Organizers and organizing has always been a part of my life. For over 20 years, I worked as a nanny in the Palm Beach area, caring for children and supporting families by keeping their homes safe, functional, and organized. From tidying playrooms to setting up efficient spaces for busy parents, I found joy in creating order and ease in the homes I worked in. One of the biggest challenges parents face is keeping up with their children’s ever-changing needs. I’ve helped countless families organize toys, clothes, and essential items in a way that makes them easy to find, access, and rotate as children grow. By keeping things age-appropriate and creating simple systems, I’ve seen firsthand how an organized home can reduce stress and bring more harmony to family life. Beyond helping families with young children, I’ve also experienced the deep responsibility of caring for a loved one. For nine years, I helped take care of my husbands disabled father in our home managing his daily needs while ensuring our home remained a safe and functional space. That experience taught me the importance of organization, patience, and emotional support—especially during life’s most difficult transitions. Losing a loved one is never easy, and sorting through their belongings can feel overwhelming. I understand how important it is to go through personal items with care, respect, and support. Whether you need help decluttering after a loss, organizing meaningful keepsakes, or making a home feel comfortable again, I’m here to help. That’s why I started Compassionate Organizers—to support families, seniors, and individuals facing major life changes. Whether you’re looking for a more organized home, adjusting to a new stage of life, or seeking comfort after loss, I want to help you create a space that brings peace and clarity. Let’s create a space that works for you! I’d love to hear how I can support you—reach out for a consultation.
Billy, I’m the other half of the Heart behind Compassionate Organizers I am Series 6 Securities Licensed and have my Life insurance & Annuity License in Florida. First, I want to say how proud I am of my wife for deciding to start this business. I look forward to supporting her, the business and clients. A little background about me and where some of the business idea came from.. I grew up with a father in the military so we had to relocate quite a few times. Of course, each time packing, moving, unpacking etc. So we had to learn to be uncluttered,d not to move unneeded things around the world and country. I also grew up with my grandma from my mom’s side, who lost one of her legs at a young age. I had to learn to help her however she needed. This meant I had to slow down, pay attention, and be mindful of her safety while moving around the house with a prosthetic leg. In 2010, I became my dad’s sole caregiver, who is a 100% disabled veteran. I had to move him to my house in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. This required rearranging the house to fit him, his stuff, and his mobility issues. After 14 years of keeping him safe and alive, he is in the VA nursing home. In the midst of all of this in 2021, I started managing my mom’s medical and personal needs long-distance. My wife and I went to Missouri and moved her to an independent living community. This required decluttering, packing, moving, unpacking, and getting the new place functional and safe. Unfortunately, she had a massive stroke three months later and passed away. We had to go back to Missouri. Now Shahla and I had to go through my mom’s belongings and decide what to keep, donate, and get rid of. Shahla and I have also been involved in helping friends after a loved one passed away. Helping go through the loved one’s things, sorting out what to keep, don’t,e and get rid of. This is sad and can be overwhelming. Through our personal experience and helping friends, we hope to bring compassion and make it easier for others.
